Seeing that it was done in the QOTS forum, I thought it might be fun to do a weekly forum mission. I roll up the mission stats, post them, and individuals have a week to fly the mission and file an AAR. I'll compile the stats and give post-mission briefings.
Anyone interested? If I can get 5 or 6 players maybe I'd be willing to do it.

Interested, although the next couple of weeks are rough because of WBC.

Would love to play! I had actually thought about starting this myself once I played the game a few more times.

Okay I think we've got enough to run the game. I'll start next week and in the mean time put some rules together.

Well, I suck. Work was *WAY* too busy for me to even get started on this, my apologies.
That out of the way, I'll start the first mission run on Monday.
General rules are as below (mostly cribbed from the B-17 PBF thread, so thanks go there):
General Rules
1. One new mission each week. I would roll up the mission target and the fighter cover for relevant zones and let everyone know, so it is consistent for everyone. I'll also roll take-off and landing times and all pertinent mission information. Flak cover will be determined as well.
2. Each mission would have its own thread, and people would post their results (in as much or as little detail as desired). At the end of the week I will total up the results and provide an overall accuracy percentage for the mission, for scoring purposes.
3. No two targets bombed twice in a row for variety purposes, plus I'd use the campaign bombing sheet to keep track of effective bombing runs on various locations.
4. Each player could run as many planes as they wanted for each mission, but it would good to keep it consistent across missions (i.e., if you fly 3 planes for mission #1, please fly 3 planes for missions #2 through #25, as well).
5. Since formation/squadron leaders have navigational impact, lead bomber, middle formation would be a volunteer position. If nobody assumes lead bomber on a volunteer basis, and it's assumed through formation events, the first person to roll lead bomber and post an AAR becomes the lead bomber. Checking the AARs before your mission probably wouldn't be a bad idea in this case. After lead bomber is assigned, any event where you take over lead, middle is treated as a normal formation form-up event. If you miss an AAR and there's a double-lead, no big deal. If this becomes too much of a pain, we'll ditch the rule.
6. Feel free to jump in any time you want. If your plane goes down feel free to start a new one.
That being said, I'll see you folks at the briefing on Monday!

If nobody's played the B-17 PBF game (and I doubt that's likely, but just in case), and you're wondering how AARs might look, this is a good general idea:
Crew Name (Use pilots name)
Plane’s Name (Please keep it clean)
Mission Number (Groups / Plane’s) [ie 10 / 2]
Target Hit: (City / Target Type)
Crew (Name and position of each crewmember) [At least for first mission]
Crew disposition (Frostbite, Wounded, KIA, Replacements names & positions)
Bomb Drop (On/Off target & % within 1000ft of target)
Claims (List all enemy aircraft shot and hit. Along with who shot them)
B-17s disposition: (List all the damage done to your bomber this mission.)
Mission Description: (Write up a narrative about this mission. Be as descriptive as you wish. Put your self in the pilot seat, this will make the AAR more enjoyable to read.)

Sadly, no. My life took a very hectic turn and I wasn't able to get it started. I apologize for how it fell apart. While I'd like to revisit it I just don't have the time to coordinate it. But there is enough interest that it's worth a shot if someone has time.
