Can the Union player spend a march to activate the box, fight a battle during the movement phase and (assuming victory), move out via land connection after said battle?
Does "initiating a containment battle" during the combat phase cost a march?

Found the answer to my question in the rulebook that comes in the box. I guess I should have looked there first. The living rules are not quite clear on this point. To answer my own question for others who might also be wondering, yes, a contained Union box can be activated, fight a battle during the movement phase, move, and theoretically fight another battle during the combat phase..
