There was an example given by Davide where you rolled a blue nullifier against your opponents smasher.
His smasher, black, was a 6.
Your nullifier rolls a 4.
Opponent passes
You roll another nullifier against the black smasher 6 and roll a 1.
Well with the 1, you add +2 to your first nullifier, increasing it to a 6 and therefore beathing the smasher.

Therefore, a 1 can be applied to dice in your battle area AND if they are the right type of die, in the skirmish area.

We were just playing with the 1's applying to dice in the battle area.
This changes things a bit.

Yes, it does.
Color bonuses can be applied to any die "in play", that means battle and skirmish.
