As many of you likely are aware, the Central and Eastern US have been HOT the last week or two. AccuWeather predicts it will be a little cooler in Lancaster, PA, next week for the WBC, but still very warm. Highs for all 9 days will be in the range of 86-91F (30-33C). The good news, for those who actually leave the Host, is that it should be sunny every day except pre-Con Saturday and getaway Sunday. Of course, those are the two days my clan will be carrying games from/to the car.

Here is a link to the AccuWeather forecast:

(You may need to adjust the dates when you get to the site.)

Remember to pack your t-shirts and shorts. Reserve your spot by the pool early.cool

Alternatively,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/339

indicates that Lancaster, Lancashire, UK will be hitting the 20s for one of the rare times this summer, with bonus 'intervals of sun'. Queue the party.

Seems pretty typical for that time of year in Lank-ester (as the locals pronounce it.) Bring a swimsuit, hope the AC doesn't break down.

I remember the first year in the Host in 2005 was VERY hot, but looking weather history for that date, apparently it was only 93-95 that week.

Weather update: Highs in Lancaster for the 9 days of WBC (July 30 - August 7, 2011): 86-92F (30-33C), lows: 60-65F (16-18C). Thunderstorms possible Monday and rain on Saturday the 6th, otherwise generally sunny and humid.

Note: there is a heat advisory until Friday, July 29 at 8 PM. So it looks like we actually get a cool spell.
