Development updates have dried up recently, but the only real answer you should expect from the title of your thread is, "In the future." Until it goes to the printers, that's probably all VG can (or should) provide.

Well, the reason we did run the "General Interest" pre-order was to determine the demand for this game. Unfortunately, we have barely passed 450 interested customers and with the market as saturated as it is right now, we need to make smart publishing decisions. Hannibal went well over 750 pre-orders overnight so the market is not really screaming for the First Punic war currently
 .
Don't worry, we will publish this but a couple other titles that are currently generating more buzz will take precedence right now.

Kickstarter might be an excellent option for you. You could even have a bundle option which could include the base game.
