If all 6 monster spaces are full how does the monster phase resolve:

1) Draw and discard without worrying about duplicates

2) Draw, check for duplicates, resolve monster, discard

You still check each one. The whole point of drawing cards is to see if they match the ones on the board, if so, they activate and cause you to lose stuff. Having all the board spaces full just means it's very likely you're going to have cards that match.
