Communal Contract variant

To combat possible contract imbalances...

Instead of each player receiving their own contracts, randomly set out four contracts of each color at the beginning of the game for all to see and consider. When it comes time to settle on specific contracts, each player secretly writes down which of the available contracts he wants to shoot for.

Naturally, multiple players can choose the same contracts if desired.

That's it!

Seems pretty solid, Mike. I haven't played the game 'a lot', but I'm still not entirely convinced the contracts are that badly imbalanced. Your variant though would defintely reduce any perception of one contract being more valuable than another, since everyone could go for the same contract(s).

Just score all the public contracts as much as each player has fulfilled them. No need to secretly write down one. Makes for nailbiting play!
