I came across this situation last night. While looking for the Gun Control Tile I stumbled upon the Command Room. After resolving the event card I placed the free room tile, it was the Storage tile which I was able to place so as to also connect back to the Entrance tile. As I had two items there was no need to enter. I then continued through the other Command Room door which was the Gun Control room. After resolving the required event cards I exited this room back to the Command Room. Now I was attacked by 4 SS Soldiers, here is the question;
Can I evade combat into the Storage tile, as it is the shortest path to the Entrance tile, or must I return by the original path? As I never entered the Storage tile it technically wasn't explored. Or did I look in and decide not to enter. So I know there is another door...

Yes, Jim, you can Evade to the storage. The tile is considered "explored" for you. In fact, any face-up location on the board is considered explored for Evading purposes.
