The ones from the Goodies supports the developer/publisher of Agricola and matches the iconography from the game closely.

The ones from Mayday are nice too (I have their animeeples and use their wood markers as 3xWood) and support an independent 3rd party but don't match the iconography as closely. They still look nice on their own.

Your call.

Good point about the aesthetic quality. I just wish the other parts of the Goodies were more useful.

I would like to add that Mayday pieces are more easily to tell apart from each other. No mix-ups with pigs and stone or wood and cows. And stacking them is a challenge, especially if there is wood in the stack...

I don't know what you are talking about. The Mayday vegetable tokens are shaped like carrots just like in the game iconography, the tokens in "Goodies" look like pumpkins.

on the other hand, the cows and the wood from Mayday are just awful to my liking.

just saying.

You are right about the vegetables. I was thinking about the animals and building resources.

I have to admit, I like Mayday's wood much better than what's in the Goodies.

Goodies wood is easier to pick up. The animals are closer in style to the horses from the expansion. I like the smaller grain from Mayday. As it is, I have both, and I just use most of both. I LOVE the food from Mayday (and Goodies has no food goodies).
