Any ideas as to what could be used to give the stickers a nice gloss? A spray matte, or something similar? I got my stickers printed at a local shop & am ready to start putting them on my dice, but I wanted to put something over it that would both protect it & give it a nice gloss. Any ideas?

The statement below is false.
The statement above is correct.

Personally, I used matte varnish from Games Workshop, because I happened to have it lying around.
However, I'd recommend spraying after you've applied the stickers. That will also seal their edges to the dice, and make the end product last longer.

I laminated my sticker sheets before cutting them out and applying them. Gives it a very nice glossy look and protects the stickers from dings and scratches.

Awesome, thanks for the responses. I like the idea of applying a matte finish afterwards, especially if it will give extra life.

I spray my labels before applying them to the dice. It's much easier to spray a flat sheet of paper than a three dimensional die. I use Deft brand high gloss wood varnish. You can find it at Home Depot or Lowes.

I agree that it's definitely easier to cover them while not on the dice, but I like the idea of the stickers sticking better with the gloss covering. This is my first PNP project, so I still have a lot to learn, but hopefully these will come out okay.

I ran into the same dilemma a while back. Like you I wanted to seal the edges and get an even coat. Take a look at my solution:
Item for Geeklist "What Print 'n Play Games are you crafting or planning on crafting this month? March 2011"
If you can't see it in the pics I completely stickered the dice, stuck a sewing needle in one of the corners, strung the needles up on a long length of thread running between 2 posts and started spraying.

I use Scotch packing tape before I slice the stickers out. If I'm using a spray painted 1" cube, I like Krylon crystal clear before I slice for a smooth edge transition. The Krylon for artists is the same stuff but twice as much

You can get a gloss or matte spray fixative from art stores that is used to protect charcoal art and the like I will be using this as I still have a can of the stuff lying around...
Also I would apply first, sit the dice on a non stick surface like a plastic box or piece of glass and spray the dice, wait to dry, flip and repeat on unsprayed side...
