We had a question come up in our game last night. I own the first edition of the game - my friend owns the second, and we were playing with his copy. I knew there had been some clarifications, and possibly changes, in the 2nd ed. rules, but I'm not aware of what they were/are.

I'm fairly certain that in my 1st ed. rule set, it states that the Black Hole functions like the other suns in terms of normal movement (you don't count the BH tile in movement cost - you can skip over it like the Alpha and Omega tiles). However, skimming his rule set last night, I couldn't find this rule explicitly stated. It may be that I just didn't see it, since I basically just had time to skim them. Can someone (who knows for certain) clarify this?

The black hold does not operate like a normal sun. It is treated like a normal space - except that on a subsequent turn, if you are sitting in the black hole, you can teleport to any tile in the game during the Warlord role.

Sounds like your friend was right.

Any tile in the game except an opponent's homeworld, I trust!?

Yes! You can't attack an opponent's homeworld - and this includes using the Blackhole.
