Subject: Our group ignores the caravan, what are we missing? rss

We have tried to use it but the player who tries always takes last place, we must be missing something cuz so many people talk about it yet it never pays off in our games, the scores are so low for the player who uses it they never try again.
More than half of us have given it a try with no luck.
Clould someone enlighten us here.

1.Get the building that gets you cards for each cube sent to the Caravan.

2. Try to grab the building spaces that will send two cubes to the Caravan.

3. Once you have enough cubes out, use every turn to send another cube to the Caravan.

4. PROFIT!!!

A variant on #2 above is to ship somebody's else's cube as the second cube. You can use their cube to propel you to the next level, open up their souk or drain their camel.

If you can burn a camel to keep your cube on the building, you can score both the caravan AND the building.

Also, if you ship you have to commit early to get the maiximum number of scoring rounds.

#1 above is also critical.

So getting the cards and turning them in for an extra camel when you select camels from the dice is gonna help as well

I think our group has just never did it right and there for passed it up, I see so many posts about the caravan being too powerfull so it must be a good strategy
