Hello is it correct, that I can convert any normal scenario into an Overlord scenario by simply mirroring the scenario?

Hi Angus,

First of all, welcome to BGG!

It's not as easy as that. You actually need to use one of the special Overlord scenarios that are available for download from the D0W site or buy the Overlord expansion. If you simply mirror the board, you would end up with duplicate objective hexes and repeated terrain for example, in the very first scenario, you would be going after TWO Pegasus Bridges.

I hoe this helps.

If you really want to play Campaign book Overlord style, you can always "stretch" the map horizontally, duplicating units, woods, bocage, towns, most terrain features except rivers and roads.

So this

/wheat\
\wheat/

Will be this

/wheat\
\wheat/wheat\
      \wheat/

Unless the battle has an equivalent Overlord scenario, either official or fan made.

Yes, there is no coorelation between the Campaign Book and applying it directly to Overlord. Since I play Overlord almost exclusively, I would love to see a Campaign Book devoted just to Overlord! Too bad this is not the case and may likely never occur.cry

Yes, within the Days of Wonder M44 site under "Scenarios from the Front".

Some of my favorites are:
Iwo Jima - Hell on the Beach
Red Barricade Factory Complex
[France 1940] Sedan
Offensive at St. Lo
Russo-Finnish War
