I have a copy of the British edition of FORMULA DE. The rules are in English (translation by Mark Green of Just Games) and the player boards are in French. It is clear from both rules and the player boards that the only die intended to be used in the game was a D20. I would therefore guess that the earlier French editions also only used a D20.
Can anyone confirm this? When did the multi dice editions first appear?

The first version that came out in 1991 had the single black D20. The multi-die version came out in 1997.

That's funny, because I bought an edition with the multi dice and converted it into a D20 game only for a faster playgame. whistle
