I think gates are intimated in the White Ship, The Strange High House in the Mist and the Music of Erich Zann as well as in the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath. But not exactly.

Maybe the Shadow out of Time- somehow the narrator ends up in the City of the Great Race (if I remember correctly)in the distant past...
