It looks like a Hill 218 app is going to happen. If you like knowing the back story to things you can get a sneak peak at my negotiation blog, which discusses the conversation I'm having with an independent developer here:

That was very interesting for a layman on such matters. Thanks.

My eyes often glaze over at business/financial stuff, but that was surprisingly interesting and informative!

Why is it that '90% fat free' sounds so much better than '10% fat'?

As previously stated Chad I will be promoting this hard in Australia. For what it's worth, I would price this at USD $3.99, this is fast becoming my 'reference price' for an app like this. GM

That's where I'm leaning as well, although $2.99 isn't out of the question.

Cool. I've read "Getting to Yes" from your alma mater found it insightful.
FWIW, I own 218 and have not yet played it. I would probably spend $2 for it in this unknown state, but not $3 or more.

The person who first wanted to do the App had to drop out because he started a new degree program and had a bump in the demands of his normal job. Andrew Gross (who made the Java App) has offered to do the project but it will probably take quite some time before he can complete it, as he has a lot on his plate.

Ummm...how about doing it for $2.18? At least for the promotional launch. Free to me of course for suggesting it

Evidenced by what? What do you think "computer people" should make? Do you realize they make what they make because that's what they're worth? It's not like there's a flood of people that are good with computers. Part of their salary is their scarcity, as in many highly-skilled professions.
