I didn't quite expect to see Dust on the wargame hotness list. Don't get me wrong, I really love the game but I really don't understand why Dust can actually be on the hotness list. Maybe Dust Tactics leads people to Dust?

How does a game get on the hotness list? What criteria?

Some website somwhere has put a link to the BGG page and it is gathering hits as a result? It has happened before with other games...

I think the primary function of the hotness list is to spawn threads wondering why things are on it.

How does the Hotness work?

Most of them are rationally explained but Dust being on the list makes no sense to me. There are random games like Gay-Monopoly or whatever that make short a visit on the list but Dust has already stayed on the wargame hotness list for a long time. We are talking about several months for sure, maybe even over a year or two, who knows. There are probably similar cases like Dust, I don't doubt that but Dust was the one I noticed.

Thanks for the link Sphere. That explains the mechanics, but as a practical matter you're suggestion as to the purpose is probably better

I learned something, so thank you!
