A new one recently sold for $70. Mostly they sell for less than $50. They aren't rare, there are loads for sale on the BGG marketplace for as little as $22.
Want me to pick your lottery numbers?

So why is everyone complaining about this game being out of print and hard to find...?

There was a point 2 or 3 years ago when it was going for close to $100. But then Small World came out, and some people who wanted Vinci probably took that, and the demand collapsed. It's still one of those 'harder to find' games since it has been OOP for several years.

There seem to be some people who will complain about things being hard to find at the slightest obstacle to acquisition. If there's not a copy on eBay this instance priced below retail it's the end of the world. I've waited months to acquire an old game, or to acquire it at a better price, and that works great. Copies ofOgre sell frequently for $10, but in between the $10 copies some people try to get $30 to $50 here or on eBay. I don't know if they ever get those prices, but they ask for them. Some people see this as justification for pirating the game. Because they don't want to pay $30 and don't want to wait for a $10 copy.
When something is as thinly traded as old board games, determining "price" or "worth" in the absence of a transaction is a pretty ephemeral thing.
