Kururin Panic is one of the many iterations of the game Loopin' Louie. Other re-implementations of the game are Barn Buzzin' Goofy and Bobbin' Bumblebee. These are extremely similar versions of the game, just fitted with a different theme. This is a game for two to four players, and a single game runs anywhere from five to ten minutes.

If you are looking for a deep, strategic game that you can use to help enhance your kid's memory, grammatical knowledge or pattern recognition... this ain't it. Feel free to move along and skip the rest of this review. But, if you are looking for a game that's fun for both the young AND young-at-heart... you may have just found the mother lode and I encourage you to read on.
COMPONENTS: The game comes with a plastic machination. I really don't know how to best put it into words, so I'll just refer you to the picture below.

As you can see from the photograph, there're four arms that extend out of a central tower. The tower contains an extended arm that holds the pilot (whoever he/she may be depending on your version of the game) and rotates it at a steady pace around the four arms. Yes, the game is battery operated, and at least for me, it didn't come with batteries.
Aside from this, the game comes with a bunch of stickers used to brighten up the game and plastic discs that serve as eggs, pigs or what have you (again, depending on your version of the game).
All in all, you pay for a toy and in my humble opinion, you do get your money's worth.
GAMEPLAY: This is going to be a very short section. Gameplay is extremely simple. First, you turn on the plane so that it starts rotating around the four arms. Now, on each arm (or section), there's a button. When you press that button, it allows you to push the plane up and away (assuming the plane is close to your corresponding section) from your eggs/pigs or what have you.
To win the game, you just have to be the last person with eggs/pigs remaining. That's it.
Press button. Send plane shooting up and away (while hoping it'll land on someone else's eggs/pigs). Protect your stash.
In the time it took me to type this up, I could've explained the game to most people and we'd already be halfway thru a game. Hehehehe...
WHY CHILDREN WOULD LIKE IT: Because the game is so simple, they don't get bored with instructions and can actually learn on the fly (fast explanation-to-playing ratio is always a plus when it comes to kids). This added to the fact that everything is just so colorful and pretty... almost any kid would enjoy playing it. My daughter started playing this when she was 2.5 years of age, and even back then, I barely had to explain things to her.
FINAL THOUGHTS: You could do worse than choosing Kururin Panic as one of your kids' first games. Its easy, colorful, beautiful and fast-to-play. My daughter has even taught her nanny how to play the game, and she has also taught her friends (who come over occasionally) how to play the game as well and her friends have also enjoyed it tremendously.
