Has anyone tried finding suitable miniatures instead of the character stands? I'm interested in doing this and am having trouble narrowing it down to a economic workable minimum. The Road Kill Vampire series looks good, but they don't seem to have much variety. Things That Go Bump In The Night vampire & werewolf and Vampire Wars seem to give to most for the buck, but are Victorian (which is not a big deal.) The CMON Vampire Hunter Miniatures seem to be the best match.
For sheer economy you can probably get Blue Moon's
15HOR-101 Werewolves 15HOR-102 Vampires 15HOR-104 Slayers
Maybe get:
2 male vampires (minions) 2 female vampires (minions) 1 male werewolf 2 female slayers 2 male slayers 1 vampire (chief) 1 demon (chief)
Ideas?

I'd love to see what you can find. Finding suitable "Buffy" figures is tough. Seems like with a Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG there'd be a market. I always contemplated using Mini Palz (http://www.buffycollector.com/palz/index.shtml) but they seem to fetch a high price.
You might try Hasslefree Miniatures, specifically Sadie, Witch Hazel, and William (Buffy, Willow, and Spike).

Yeah, those Hasslefrees are very nice, but it'll add up quickly. Thanks!

Yes, this really is what I looked like when I uploaded that avatar. Not that it's quite current anymore.

The RPG is OOP for years now. Still available in PDF, but...

When Darkness Comes minis should be able to work for the heroes and for some of the scenarios.

HorrorClix had several miniatures of Buffy-like characters and monsters. I think the Buffy figure was called "Vampire Hunter". They aren't painted well, and you would probably want to re-base them. But they probably are crazy cheap!

I've got my mini$, now to mount and paint them.
I think the Scooby gang (lt. blue, yellow, hot pink & lt. violet) and then one each M/F (purple) boss monster then one each M/F (red, green & blue) minions is probably the minimum (12) amount of minis. Though a female boss does not appear in the published scenarios, she'd likely be useful for fan generated expansions.
I actually got a bunch more but since they go really well with my Hellboy RPG minis I did not mind: they're gonna get some use.
I'll post photos soon.
