Subject: Dark Tower Flashing L or LL. Anyone know a fix? rss

I recently purchased a complete game at a yard sale for fifty cents. The game and box are in excellent condition and it has all of the original, unbroken pieces.
My question is this. The tower lights up and inside spins but stops and flashes L or LL and then freezes. Buttons become unresponsive so I Turn on and off and repeat.

Motor turns, screen revolves, all bulbs light up. I am not hearing any voices or sounds (never played the game so not sure what to hear)

Just went to Wal-Mart and purchased brand new Duracells and that did not solve the problem.

I am fairly handy and was wondering if anyone had an idea of a fix or has experienced this problem?

Thanks so much,
Charles

I don't think I can help you, but I just came upon a game of my own and maybe you can help. I pulled the bottom off, and there are two looser wire one red and one black coming off the circuit board, I assume that they connect to the switch and the battery terminal. The problem is I don't know which one goes where. Does the red go to the switch or the black?

If you can help, Let me know, thanks.

Also try googling Dark tower repair, there are a couple that have pointers for repair.

Thanks Sean.
