Am I able to build a tile where another player's track points at, in order to force them to redirect on their next turn, or does "You cannot connect to another player's track" mean that I cannot build directly in front of their track and must have a space between mine and theirs?

For example, and excuse the Carcassone tiles, but I think they will help illustrate my point more than words:

City - Previous Turn's Track - This Turn's Track -

Can I build from another direction and cut the person off directly in front of them:

Or do I have to leave a gap:

Quite legal. No need for a gap.

That that rule says is that simply you could not add a tile which connects to their track. For instance, a straight horizontal piece in your example. Yours does not connect to it and you're fine.

Yes, that's a legal build, but keep in mind that it won't necessarily cut off the person you're trying to block. The complex track tiles allow for some creative looping and cutting back for that player, which is more expensive for him, but unless the track you just built was the only exit out of that city, then your opponent still has options.

In this case, it would have forced the other player to redirect and build alongside my track, costing an extra tile and either another turn or the use of the 4 Track ability (Engineer? Only played one game so far, but I think that's it)

So far love the game, but want to try a few other maps... Anyone know a great place to get them?
