Does despair only cancel Hero events, or does it also cancel Hero Survival Tactics?

The card reads:
"Play this card to cancel any Hero Event Card on the roll of 5+."

I would say if the Survival Tactic card has the keyword Event on it than it's fair game.
But, it's been a while since I read the SotF rule book...
