If you are having a problem with jittery video, and you are on a Mac, try the following: right click on the video, go to Settings (for flash), turn off hardware acceleration, and reload the page. Ironically, turning off hardware acceleration makes the video play much better.

Tech note: if you are getting jittery video on a macbook, right click the video, click settings, and turn off hardware acceleration, and refresh.

I'm on Windows and just see an ad everytime I close and reopen and post that it is a black screen

Maybe you could try the "pop-out" option, for me that works.

For me, the adverts play fine, but then it's a silent black screen. Tried "pop-out" but it was the same. Sometimes I get a still image for a while, but then it reverts to black.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. The video plays out for 3-4 sec and then a black out, tried everything but no joy.

Have you logged in to ustream? I had that problem at first too, could watch for maybe 30 seconds and then it went black. After I registered and logged in, it started to work fine. Don't know if it has anything to do with it.

Same problem here... a few seconds of video, then blank screen... *long* pause... few more seconds of video...
However, the video ads (on connecting to the stream) play fine, and a few other UStream channels that I've hopped around seem to be playing correctly for me too - only the BGG channel is affected 
Maybe the BGG stream is transmitting with a higher bitrate than everybody else?
edit: oh, and the archived segments from earlier this morning are playing back fine too. Only the live stuff is a problem.

Yeah, it'll do... slightly frustrating that the live show is unwatchable though, since that has the added fun of the chat sidechannel. BGG must be doing _something_ that other UStream channels don't do, since other live channels are playing OK for me.
Since the recorded segments seem to buffer up pretty quickly, I'd speculate that it's something to do with the BGG live stream being high-bitrate UDP, vs recorded stuff being TCP.
