I'm playing as the Union in the #8 historical scenario. Things, to put it mildly, are not going well. I will write up my mis-steps in a bit, but in the meanwhile, has anyone played this scenario and won as the Union?

Given the terrain and supply problems, the minimal manpower advantage of the Union does not seem to provide enough power for taking Chattanooga or any off-map VP hexes if the Confederate doesn't do the Union a Bragg-favor and abandon them.

At best, I can only seem to get even battles, and these favor the defender.
