1)In regard to the turns 3 and 5 Howitzer bombardment: are all my units that are 2 morale or less eliminated? That means German PAK units can't last beyond the third turn.

2)The US player plays two German action cards instead of one at the start of the US turn, but they might not necessarily be operations cards. Are Combat cards drawn at this time just ignored?

After three tries, this scenario seems to be unwinnable:

If the way I'm interpreting the special rules is correct, the US:

*has devastating support which is dug in,
*two(?) combat cards per combat in which no prestige is paid,
*bombardment on turns 3 and 5 which totally eliminates most of the German units in play,
*a devastating 4 card action (operations) deck of which two are drawn every turn.
