I see some pics with different colored pegs for the various foods/goods. Is that a particular release or is there somewhere you can get different colored pegs for the game? Mine are all the same red-ish color.

The first edition came with the pegs colored to match each resource. The second and later editions switched to all-brown pegs. I'd hazard a guess that it was cheaper to produce and easier to replace parts if a peg was lost.

Can I recommend picking up some coloured nail varnish.

Not only is it good for pegs, it makes it surprisingly easy to get served in bars.
