Dear D-Day Dicers,

This is it!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! (Well, me, at least). Operation Overlord has finally launched, and

OUR KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN IS ONLINE!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1325766284/d-day-dice-bo...

We’ve tried really hard to balance the supporter levels so as to please everyone. There are some pretty good deals in there, as well asnd some exclusive swag. We even have a “Line for Life” option (available for a limited number of supporters). And of course, international shipping is available.

Those of you who want to laugh at my ridiculous French-Canadian accent can do so by watching our fantabulous video on the Kickstarter page. Games and entertainment! What more can you want?

What are you still doing here? Go check it out!

Now!

I wish you all the luck to get the game funded and it is a great video to present the game.
And don't bother about your accent.

Hi,

I would love to back your project, but 50 extra for shipping international while it is free for "locals" is just wayyyy to much. It doulbes the backing basicly. Guess it could be already past its limit, if this wouldn't be the case.

Hey Maik,

I totally agree with you that the shipping costs are crappy. The problem is that Valley Games does not have a distributor in Europe, so they have to pay regular postage on everything they send over there. The 50$ is a flat rate that makes the 35$ pledge seem ridiculous, but Valley will still lose money when shipping pledges of 100$+ (trying sending the equivalent of 5-10 Carcassonne boxes through the mail to see how much it costs you!).

Maybe you'll be interested to know that a German translation of the game should be announced soon. I'm pretty sure shipping will be more reasonable for you then

To be honest I'd rather like to have the english version (yeah, one of the few rare guys ^^). I know Raoul (same City), but still. I would like to support your game, but just can't from this perspective. Other kickstarter games add like $10 for non-american residents which is absolutely fair. I wouldn't have any problems if you would put the game +expansions or whatnot into smaller boxes or combine the boxes to save shipping.

Last summer I ordered a German magazine to Canada. It cost me 12$ shipping for that single magazine. Do the math. If a company ships to Europe for 10$, it's because they have a distributor there, which Valley Games doesn't. So I'm sorry you are disappointed, and I totally understand why you are, but there is nothing I can do about shipping costs.

Hmm, well, those companies certainly do not have a german/european distributor. Well doesn't matter. Sad thing. I'm basicly responsible for oversea orders and its sad to hear that there cannot be done anything else.

+all Valley Games Material can be ordered through Pegasus. IT can also be preordered there. Not sure how Pegasus gets the stuff though, but I can ask at monday and hand you the information if you want to.

Thanks for the offer, Maik, but I'm the designer, not the publisher. I believe Valley is exploring all possibilities for shipping. If you find some useful information that might interest them, it is better to write to them directly.

Got the promo email from Valley. Was quite excited about this and then $50 shipping came up. Add a probable customs charge to this and its looking totally unrealistic. Hopefully this can be addressed at some point as would like to be able to buy the commercial format.
