Re: Emoticon Zendo (Game 177)
Guess:

If (null) has the Buddha-nature:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
AKHTBN iff each emoticon in it occurs a triangular number of times

Otherwise:
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
AKHTBN iff it is at least one emoticon long and each emoticon in it occurs a triangular number of times

Thanks, that was a short and sweet one. I'll set up one soon, probably later tonight.

EDIT: Or rather, probably tomorrow. I'm too tired right now.

Note to future masters: I would like to see more of these, and fewer of the insanely difficult 7 page games that last 3 months. Thank you.

I quite agree. Though it is hard to gauge what is too easy and what is too hard. I'll try to be light.

Thanks. BTW, I didn't notice that a
Spoiler (mouseover to reveal):
triangular number
rule had already been done in game 166, or else I would have done something different.

I don't want this to come across the wrong way. I understand that you give it your best shot and sometimes you realize, crap, I made it too hard. Believe me, I've been there, both in real life and here in Emoticon Zendo land.

But for all those future masters sitting out there thinking, "I've got this insanely difficult rule, that'll be fun," you know, maybe not.

I once made a rule, "contains at least one green train." It was short and fun and nobody got hurt. Even a rule like that will last longer than you think because people will try to overthink it. It can't be that simple, can it? Yes it can.
