I've played a few games of Fairy Tale, but wasn't to impressed with the artwork or card layout. I came across the Monkey redesign on the files page and did some more digging and was able find some higher quality PDFs. A little work with the GIMP and I was able to put together some images to submit and use on a recent PrinterStudio.com sale. Below are my results.
This was my first real go at using the GIMP or any other image manipulation tool for a large(ish) scale project. I'm pretty happy with the results and it was a good learning experience. The cards turned out better than I could have hoped. The only complaint I have is that the colors are a bit dark for some card images, but that's really pretty minor as all of the important information is completely readable.
The artwork for this redesign is simple outstanding! I wish there was some way to contact Monkey, to share this project with him. Unfortunately I don't speak Russian and couldn't find a way to send him a message of any kind.
Anyways, I thought I'd share to show and/or highlight this fantastic redesign of a pretty fun and quick game. My hope is that with the updated artwork, I can get more of my group interested in the game, as the whole Anime thing really didn't do it for them when I initially tried to introduce the game.
One last thing. Since this game is currently in print and available commercially, I will NOT share these files, so please don't ask.

Why use GIMP? Why not just zoom in on the PDF, take a screenshot, then cut out the desired image using MS Paint's cutting tool, save it, and there you go? At least, that's how I've done Artscow projects in the past.
Beautiful results, by the way, blows the Z-man, and even the WYG version, out of the water.

With GIMP I could batch process the files through a plugin. I wanted to learn how to use the batch processing appropriately so for a future (completed) project it could be done more efficiently.
Thanks for the complements! Everyone that's played has enjoyed the set, and I'm very happy with the results.
