In reading over the rules for set-up, it is mentioned how to incorporate the KiY cards (new Gate cards, Mythos cards, etc.) into play for the "Touring Performance Style" and the "Permanent Performance Style" but it makes no mention of them in the "The Herald" variant. It only mentions about the King in Yellow Herald sheet (5a) and the Blight cards and riot monster markers (6a). Are the other decks not used in this variant? It seems a little strange not to include them somehow or is this an oversight and assumed that they would be included?

The herald is used with either set-up, the "traveling show" or "Permanent Performance" variant. The Herald is simply another add-on on top of them.
IIRC, the King In Yellow herald uses some of the additional stuff from the expansion like the Act deck, so it doesn't work well without having the rest of the expansion integrated.

Thanks that makes perfect sense as I thought too that it wouldn't be much without the cards added but since the "rules" did not specifically say this I thought maybe there was more too it.
