I'll be attending a Geek Crafternoon and will be making an IH Scenario card with the Strange Aeons application. This is primarily to summarize the rules for using the IH board. It'll be more convenient than flipping through the rulebook.

However, I'll be adding some simple house rules to IH as well. Yesterday, we played IH and didn't have any gates open in IH. So let me know how you've improved your IH experience.

I *am* tempted to add a variant where you have a separate Mythos deck for the IH board, and you alternate drawing from decks somehow. But I'm settling for removing some base game Mythos cards to improve the probability of a gate opening in Innsmouth.

Setup:

Ancient One: Cthulhu
Heralds: Mother Dagon and/or Father Hydra

IH Monster Cup: Separate all the aquatic orange-bordered monsters into their own monster cup. Draw from this cup when a gate opens in Innsmouth.

Mythos deck: Return half of the base game cards to the box before shuffling in the IH Mythos cards.

Other decks: After shuffling the base game cards, shuffle the IH cards separately and place them on top of their corresponding base game decks.

I only see this affecting the Other World deck. Neighborhoods have to be shuffled before you draw from them.

Also, I would never consider Dagon an improvement. He is annoying to play against. If you insist on a thematic herald, use Hydra instead. She may be weak, but she's not infuriating.

Okay, here's the first draft of the card. Thanks for the feedback.

I've experienced a sleepy Dunwich before (frequently) but never so with Innsmouth! I suggest that you think about purchasing Miskatonic Horror - I guarantee that'll wake up your expansion boards. And then some.
