Ok, I just got a hold of Dungeoneer, as well as three of the expansions (DotFD, RotIW, and CotLL). My wife, brother and I played it over the weekend and really had a good time with it. Just a few questions came up. I poured over the rules (all sets including most current), forums, and the FAQs. Unless I'm missing something, I just couldn't find the answers to these few questions, so if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!
1) If you have a "Slay" type personal Quest, do you have to pay 1 movement point to attempt it? I thought all first attempts at a quest during the Hero Phase were free, and any additional retry would require the 1 movement point. However, upon reading rules again, I came across a section that says: "Defeat the monster listed on the Quest card. The monster attacks first as a free movement, as per the normal combat rules; the player seated to your left can act as the Dungeonlord. After the monster attacks, you may attack it with your hero as a challenge for 1 movement." So is it free to attempt the Quest, or does it cost 1 movement point?
2) I know in your inventory, you are allowed a certain number of treasures and boons (amount is contingent upon which character you are using), and can also have a Pack of monsters (Encounters) up to 3. Now, I know that during your Dungeonlord Phase, if you want to unleash an Encounter on an opponent, that you have to be able to fund it via an opponents Peril, even if the Encounter is coming from your Pack. However, when it came to Treasures and Boons, I thought that once you paid for it with your Glory (to be able to get it from your hand into your inventory), that you didn't have to pay for it again each time you wanted to use it. Those you have to pay for only once right? The only reason I ask, is again, the rules are somewhat vague: "You may use the effect of a card in your Inventory, including your hero’s special ability, if you have the resources required to fund it." So does that mean once it's in your inventory that you still have to fund it with Glory each time you want to use it, or that once it's in your inventory, you don't have to pay to use it?
3) Say if Person A was a Level 3 (thanks to completing two Quests), and ended up failing a certain combat scenario that required him to lose a level. He would obviously fall back to a Level 2. Does that mean he must get two more quests to win the game now since he dropped a level, or does he still only require one more Quest to win? I think he still only needs one more, but just wanted to make sure.
4) During your Dungeonlord Phase, you can attack another Hero with an Encounter card (the monster attacks as a free movement), OR you can attack another Hero with your own Hero if they are in the same space (for the cost of one movement point). If you choose to attack another Hero with your own Hero, I'm guessing you can choose either Melee or Magic to attack with? It's completely up to the Hero that is doing attacking right?
We're pretty sure what some of the answers are, but just want to clarify if possible. We are loving this game, and I really am looking forward to combining sets to really make it big! Thanks for any help!!

1. The cost to attack the monster (and therefore to complete the quest) is 1 movement.
2. Some treasures and boons have a cost listed for each use, and you need to be able to pay that. Eldritch Mastery from Vault of the Fiends is an example. Most treasures and boons have no extra cost per use, so you don;t need to pay anything.
3. They would only need to complete 3 quests, whatever level they are at afterward. Some quests do not give you a level as a reward. Can you remind me how else this would happen?
4. I think Attacking with your hero happens during your hero phase, or perhaps some other player's hero phase if they attack you, but yes you get to chose the method of your attack. Monsters also get to chose the method of their attack, but most have only one option.

one correction:
1. First attempt at any Quest is free (in the case of a Slay Quest it means the monster is attacking you). After the free attempt you may make one more attempt at the cost of 1 movement point.
Note: as with all Dungeoneer cards, the specific wording on the card takes precedence over the rules.
