It bites Kaine's hand as he recovers from his mighty blow, but the inquisitor remains standing.
Oh, so close! I was excited to finally use my Shield Bonus to help someone else out; but it was 1 too high. If that shield feat doesn't start paying off, I may have to put it in timeout so it can think about what it hasn't done.

Another 19! If we ever hit a city or find a blacksmith that isn't fending off wolves, Ta'el needs to get her hands
on into at least one Cestus. Pros: Bloodsport and Wolverine impressions. Oh, and it doubles the crit threat. Cons: I have to take it off before playing pattycake.
Quote: The cestus is a glove of leather or thick cloth that covers the wielder from mid-finger to mid-forearm. The close combat weapon is reinforced with metal plates over the fingers and often lined with wicked spikes along the backs of the hands and wrists.
Benefit: If you are proficient with a cestus, your unarmed strikes may deal bludgeoning or piercing damage. Monks are proficient with the cestus.
Drawback: When using a cestus, your fingers are mostly exposed, allowing you to wield or carry items in that hand, but the constriction of the weapon at your knuckles gives you a –2 penalty on all precision-based tasks involving that hand (such as opening locks).
Weapon Feature(s): monk

You know, I was headed here to post almost the exact same thing. I'll be offline from Sunday the 19th through the 26th.
You wouldn't happen to be going on JCCC2, would you Shawn?

I read this, at first, as vocation alert - I thought, "vocation alert? Is that a european thing? Is it code for 'work related travel'?" and then I read it again and thought "oh" *facepalm*

Thanks for the warning, folks! We'll move at a crawl, if at all, since two of you will be away. Hopefully before then we can introduce the next challenge and let you all sit in fear for a week.
Oops - forgot the spoiler tags there....

Hey everybody else: Don't let him pilot for me!
I'm off to Vancouver for fun. Wife has a break in classes and I took the week off work, so we're going to go visit friends and take off to Whistler for some snowboarding.

I'll be crusing the Caribbean with a bunch of geeks. My wife and I are planning to go scuba diving in Aruba and Curacao, which I'm very excited about. (Just got our certifications last year and have only done a couple real dives so far.)

That's one way to do it. Then, as wights, we can haunt the other parties coming in.

Oops! Sorry - I thought you had that as a revelation for some reason. Getting Gareth confused with other oracles I've played/seen. Either that or early-onset dementia, sometimes I'm not sure.
