I have read the rules and there is a short paragraph on playing solitaire. Has anybody played solitaire and if so what was your experience?

Thanks in advance,

-Phil

I guess nobody has played this solitaire. Well, it seems like it would solo fairly well. I enjoy C&C Ancients solo and it really wasn't even intended to be played that way. I'll give it a shot and perhaps post a review from a solo perspective.

Give it a couple more days, you did choose to post over a weekend - and I want to know the answer too!

Sure, I'll post a short write up once I have played a couple of games. I'm expecting it to arrive next week.

Thanks for posting the link. That was a very interesting read and I'm now looking forward to this even more.

Btw, thanks for including at least a paragraph in the rules on playing this solo. It is greatly appreciated and one of the elements that attracted me to the game.

Yes I played solitaire according to the solitaire rules.

If I remember correctly, there are some negativ impressions about the solitaire rules:

Drawing 5 cards and planning the order in which these cards will be played is an essential factor in the game. This is lost in the existing solitaire rules.

In crucial battles it is not uncommon to have both sides - attacker and defender - move reinforcements into the contested area, joining the battle in rounds 2 and 3. using the existing solitaire rules, only the attacker can have reinforcements (i.e. ataack an area and move one or more armies into the chosen area from different directions).
This tactical decision also is lost.
