After several weeks of sitting on my bookshelf, I will finally get the opportunity to play my first game of Hansa Teutonica this weekend. So, I've been browsing the forums trying to brush up on some of the rules, and am left with just a couple of questions.
The instructions state that the Bonus Marker replacements are to be placed on the board facing up. So, does this mean that the player who places the BM can look at it (the face of it) before deciding where to place it face up? I'm assuming that this is allowed, due to the restrictions on placement (must be on an empty route, with at least one empty office space). In addition, the rules don't explicitly forbid it.
Also, I seem to recall seeing conflicting statements about scoring when a player controls both cities on the opposite ends of the same route. Does the player who controls both of these cities get two points (one for both cities) every time the route is claimed?
Thanks for any clarifications!
