I found this just sitting at a FLGS for $29.95. It's sort of on my wish/want list. Should I consider picking it up? Good price? It is really as good as they say it is? I tend to like tile-laying games and it seems like it has a quick enough play time...

There is a nice 3D element to this. It is sort-of area control, where you are changing the areas as you go along. I have played it with folks who do not like complex games, and it has gone down well.
I agree - just buy it (the market has this listed at $55 and up). But most reading these threads are likely to agree.

for 30 bucks, you might as well buy it and try it. If you don't like it you'll get more than your moneysworth back out of it in trade or sale.

Also, just to pour more salt, I was lucky and found an unopened copy on a clearance shelf in the basement of a gameshop in Cologne, Germany, last year for 15 euros, IIRC.

I feel a compulsive need to share my good fortune with people who might understand. I walked into a game store about an hour ago. I found a copy of Taluva sitting on a discount table for $15.
Of course I snatched it up. I've been trying to find a copy and to stumble upon it like this... I feel giddy.
