Does anyone happen to know if there are plans to reprint Yinsh? I have recently been enjoying the Gipf games online, and was able to find Zertz, Dvonn, and Tzaar at local game stores. However, I have not been able to find Yinsh anywhere. Obviously, it is out of print, which is very disappointing as this was the game in the Gipf series that I really, really wanted to buy. It seems strange that it is rated so highly here on BGG, but is not available anymore. I think that Tzaar is also currently out of print (though I happened to find a copy locally). I ran into the same situation with another Rio Grande Game, Vikings. These games are not even very old.

I’m sure there is a logical reason for this, but I certainly don’t know anything about board game publishing, which leaves me very curious. It’s quite frustrating to read all the hype about something and then find out it’s not available.

Oh well, at least I’m enjoying Dvonn, Zertz, and Tzaar for now!

This store shows it in stock. But I think it's outside the US.

I'm glad I have a copy. Great game.

Looking on Boardgameprices.com, a couple of places have it listed as a preorder for this month. Hope that is the case - great game!

As posted here:

it's scheduled to be reprinted Q4 2011, according to Jay at RGG.

Great, I may go ahead and preorder from ThoughtHammer. I just noticed that the RGG website states that it is being reprinted, and will be available in December.

Looks like I'll have to be patient until then. At least I know it will be available soon. I did see it on Ebay for $90, but I'll pass on that.
