Hi everybody,
The Wargameroom Internet 1960 League is beginning it's 4th season of competition next Monday, November 28!
The league features real-time play using the program found at www.wargameroom.com. Games are timed so that they take no longer than 90 minutes (45 minutes per player). Players are asked to stay on or ahead of a schedule of 1 game every 2 weeks.
If this sounds, fun, leave a message in this thread, or send me an e-mail at brucewig@hotmail.com, and maybe your name will soon be added to the list below:
Internet 1960 League Champions: 2008 - Charles Féaux de la Croix (defeated Chris Withers, 3-1) 2009 - Steven Bauer (defeated Charles Féaux de la Croix, 3-0) 2010 - Chris Withers (defeated Bruce Wigdor, 3-0)
Hope to see some of you in the league!
Bruce

Hi, I might be interested. I'm wondering how noob friendly the program is. I have 10 plays logged of the original board game, but I've never tried online play of any game.

Same as Oliver except I've played a few games online, including Troy Davis's excel 1960 program.

I think the program is pretty easy to use, but the best way to find out for yourself is to come to Wargameroom and give it a try.
http://www.wargameroom.com/chat.htm is the Wargameroom Chat Room. There are usually somewhere from 5-15 people there. If you tell them you're new and you'd like to try the program, someone will probably be willing to help you.
You can use any user name you like for the chat room.
