Remembering the details in a fog, I recall the tale of three investigators and their impending doom at the "hands" of Zhar, The Twin Obscenity.
Hank the Farmhand (Clint) was quick to feel confident about our investigation but had the nagging need to find his Pa (personal story). With him, Mandy (Austin), the voluptuous rerolling lady, and myself, a lowly secretary with a knack for getting people to work well together (+1 to all skill checks with an ally). We looked at the stars and knew that Zhar would be awakening rather quickly, especially as gates were occasionally (three times I believe) opening two at a time.
We tried to make quick work of the city but didn’t get much traction as the gates kept opening and the monsters kept pouring into town. Even Devil’s Reef in the nearby Innsmouth was populating with the nasty beasts. Arkham itself saw the appearance of two Proto-Shoggoths, not the nicest of beings. Being the bookworm I am, and loving tomes (personal story), I also found my love of the Silver Twilight Lodge. As my friend Hank was cornered in the General Store, I thought gaining membership could have its privileges (as I was right!).
What felt like little progress may have been true for myself (now cursed due to events at The Lodge) and Hank (cornered like a hen in a henhouse), but for Mandy it was a different story as she was closing, sealing, and killing like a woman possessed. Her earnings were nearly well spent as she uncursed me and blessed Hank and herself. This would’ve been a great boon if not for the loss of our blessings from both Hank and I.
It was during this mid to late time that I spent quality time enjoying some tome reading. This was quite the benefit as I gained a new friend, a large statured gentleman that aided me in fighting (someone ‘of the mountain’, I do not recall, it was the ally from the resolution of my personal story). As we were arming ourselves to the teeth, Hank kept announcing how doomed we were, "WE’RE ALMOST OUT OF TIME! HE’LL AWAKEN SOON!"
“NO!" I demanded "WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER!"
All cap conversations aside, Hank returned to his task of sealing. He visited Innsmouth, avoided the look, and even spent quality time at the Esoteric Order of Dagon with much success.
The Deep Ones were piling up, an awful rumor threatened to raise the terror to maximum if many monsters were not defeated near Miskatonic, Hank, on the brink of both death and insanity, abandoned the search for his father, and Miss Mandy kept a lid on the monster situation.
And then the slaughter happened.
Hank and myself met in the Miskatonic Streets for an old fashioned slaughterfest of all that we saw. Going into the proverbial back-to-back we destroyed all that we saw, seven in total. It was glorious.
With the midnight hour approaching (one doom token away) sealed gates were being knocked upon and buying us time. I fled The City of the Great Race with moments to spare, turned, and sealed it behind me. Bringing an end to all that was threatening our world.
Psychics would tell us that a single minute longer (next Mythos card) would’ve awoken the Great Old One. No one knows what would’ve happened from there.
(Oh yeah, and we won.)

I have to know how in the blazes did Hank get cornered in the general store. Surely this was by choice. Hank samson is not cornered by anyone, every, unless my wife is playing him and demands at least +12 before fighting anything.
