Amazon lists the Gryphon edition at 12x12x2 inches and weighing 3 pounds (shipping weight 4 pounds). Based on pictures I've seen, the board fits snugly into the box without much extra room.

Indeed, there is barely enough space in the box for the game pieces. The board sits on a plastic divider. The colored cones are wedged in the corners around the board, and the dice and runners are stashed in a well in the divider underneath the board. If you buy the black and orange cones, they'll just fit in with the dice and runners, but the fit is so tight I'm afraid I'm warping the board. I've thought about removing the plastic divider, but then everything will slide around inside the box.
