Hi. I did look through all 66 forum pages and 9 files pages before posting my question. Sorry if I missed this anywhere.

I bought San Juan AND the Treasure Chest expansion prior to moving to the Arctic for work purposes last summer. I have just pulled them out as the next in the series of games I have to occupy time up here. (We have lots of time).

Anyway, I ran into one problem. I tried to keep the cards separate, but somehow they got jumbled. I have sorted the 68 production buildings from the base set. But, my base set instruction book indicates there should be 42 production cards, and I have 47 - 9 each of the Silver Smelter, Coffee Roaster, Tobacco Storage, and Sugar Mill, and 11 Indigo plants.

Which production cards should I be removing to come down from the 47 I have to 42 required in the base game? My copy of the rule book does not say...

Thanks,
Scott

ASL ... yes, this is my Desert Island Game. If I have to give up all my 3000+ games and only allowed to keep one, this would be it. This bloody game stood the test of time. Around for more than 25 years - simply the best.

47 - 42 = 5, which just so happens to be the number of different production buildings. Voila!!

Otherwise you just turn over the cards and look at the back of the cards. The cards from the Treasue Chest are darker than the cards from the base set, even with brand new cards.
