Since the expansion is out Id like to know if the expansion added any rules which can implented in the original game without using the expansion, which form is hard the get hands on...

Im referring in particul to the timing of playing cards which, as far as I can remember, was a little problematic in the base game.

Thanks Leonardo

The expansion consists of a deck of card - the original cards and 22 new ones (11 for each side). The rules provide six ways to add these new cards to the game:

A. Each player chooses 1 of the new expansion cards and adds it to their deck
B. Add all the new cards to the decks, and have both players reduce their deck to 5 cards.
C. Just add all the new cards.
D. Add all the new cards to your deck, shuffle, and remove half your deck by drawing two cards and removing one.
E. Add the new cards, shuffle, make a deck of the top 10 cards of your deck. Hand those cards to your opponent. Your opponent removes half your deck, by drawing two cards, and selecting one for your deck and removing the other. The cards selected for your deck are shuffled back into your deck.
F. Add the new cards. During the game, whenever you would draw a card, draw 2 and discard 1 instead.

So no new rules to handle timing issues, and the new game modes can't really be used unless you have the new cards.
(Well, you could try the B mode)

Good luck with getting your copy!
