Hi guys

Thought you might like to see this article from this month's issue of Ideal Home magazine, which I was asked to contribute to.

Hail to the chief! Well done, Martin.

Kind of surprised you didn't go with Tigris & Euphrates...

I tried

I gave her a lot more info about games in general and LoB in particular but there was only so much they could use.

Bearing in mind the usual rubbish that populates these kind of articles http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/48264/wall-of-shame-th... then i'll count this as a great success.

Well done Martin!

Just searched for this thread as my missus gets this magazine and showed me the article this morning.

Martin - that is a superb selection of games for the article, and the comments are pitched just perfectly for the readership.

Fantastic effort! I think you'll have boosted some sales there (shame you couldn't get the guru mentioned) for Christams.

Very well done indeed!

Thanks! The brief was to choose games widely available in UK online and department stores. I was a bit shocked by how hard that was, for department stores in particular. Perudo was pretty much the only game John Lewis sell that I could recommend in good conscience.

I think one was coming but I did not volunteer to help source the photos so not surprised no free publicity

Not petty - its often the way it works with magazines, newspapers and commercial websites - you get a mention if you help them out and I was not expecting one as sourcing the photos would actually have been quite a bit of work which I could not commit to

Martin - I have an issue with your list.

Say Anything is clearly a better opinion game than Apples to Apples.

Also, I realise you had to include a Knizia or you turn into a pumpkin, but no-one wants to play ingenious on boxing day. It's a visual nightmare for the hungover.

I realise these are purely opinions, but I had to troll with my first post back on BGG. Failure to do so would be a crime.

Did you miss me?
