Sorry Everyone, having a hard time comprehending mind control.

1. Where does the mind controlled unit go after a battle? I can see the defense holding onto it. However, if the offense loses and cast mind control and their forced to retreat, does the unit just come with them?

2. Also, if the Dark Archon casting mind control is destroyed and they successfully cast it, does the mind controlled unit stay mind controlled?

3. Voluntarily Destroying Mind Controlled Unit. Does this happen anytime the controlling player wants it to? So you can just point to it whenever you want and say "dead" (imaginary hand gun motion encouraged)?

4. Just being a jerk, but maybe this will help with clarity for myself. What if you eliminate a player and hold onto his mind controlled unit?

Thanks for the help. Going to run one game vanilla and then throw the expansion in.

1. Mind controled figure is essentially "stolen". See p.7 of BW rulebook: "...The player that used the mind control card takes the stolen plastic figure, and places one of his mind control tokens beneath it. While the token is present, he treats the figure as if it belongs to him." So the retreating offensive player in your example would retreat mind-controlled figure in one of his areas.

2. Why not? If High Templar casting Psionic Storm is killed, is that unit killed by his splash damage suddenly un-killed?

3. You can voluntarily destroy any of your units (including mind-controlled one), except during a battle. See p.22 SC rulebook.

4. What then? The figure stays on the table and you use his/her Combat card deck (he/she won't need it after all) as normal for resolving skirmishes with mind-controlled unit.
