So my question is about the bonus glory points for breaching through the gate.

Here is my take on the rules from the rule book:

Battering Ram points breakdown:
1 glory point for the first gate
1 glory point for the second gate
3 glory points for the third gate

Increasing points section:
3 glory points for breaking into the stronghold

Total points earned 8

Sadly I did not bring my printed copy of the rules with me to work, so the wording of the printed version is lost. However I downloaded the latest version of the rules from Portal Publishing seems to make it even more clear in my opinion.

The rules state that the battering ram scores the points above and when it breaks through the third and final gate this is considered breaking into the stronghold. So you earn five points for breaking gates during the game. Then when final points are added which is the increasing the points section you get 3 points for breaking into the stronghold and an additional 1 point for each wall section you broke through. Meaning 3 points for getting in, and 1 point for additional areas that you broke through.

In any case my friends were not convinced so I went to the FAQ, which in my opinion further supports my view. As it states (copied FAQ below) you get 3 glory points for breaking into the castle.

5.4. Increasing points
Question:
The invader gets 3 glory points for destroying the third gate, which is considered breaking into the stronghold. The invader also gets 3 glory points for breaking into the stronghold. Does this mean that the invader gets a total of 6 points for destroying the third gate, or does the invader only get the latter 3 points for breaking in at a wall section? Does the invader get 6 points if he accomplishes both in the same turn?
Answer:
Destroying 3rd gate is considered as breaking into castle, so you get 3 glory points. You get another 1 gp for every other wall section you break into.

So my question to my favorite board game geeks is. Do you get the 3 glory points for breaking into the stronghold via the gates?
