Hy there,

just played the first round of Carson City and had a blast. There was one thing that bothered us... During the third round I lost one cowboy during a duel, so I got them back in my personal reserve. I already had one in my reserve due to passing during the last round. So at the start of the fourth round I had eight cowboys and was first player. I had the option to claim the captain/colonel/don't know what he is called in english, the guy who gives you the option to buy additional cowboys... I could have bought three so I would have had eleven cowboys but there are not enough meeples... Long story short: Can you have eleven cowoys during one round or are they limited by the number provided?

My rules state:

Page 3 - End of Round (2nd point)

The maximum number of cowboys in your personal reserve is 10.

10 is certainly the max so you can save money only buying two extra, but as a side note:

1 reserve + 1 downed cowboy + 5 incoming cowboys should only = 7. :-)

Just wanted to make sure you noticed that you get add five in both the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Okay, I just compared the german rules to the french rules and this sentence is present in the french rules but not in the german ones... Maybe something that was left out because there wasn't any more space on the page. Don't know, thanks anyway ;-)

You're absolutely right, my mind was somewhere else when I posted... I meant that I already had two cowboys in my reserve due to passing. Just mistyped
