I'm still a little confused on tile placement, can I dead end a track into the a side on a tile (grass side) that is not matching track(assuming that at some point that meeting track will be converted to something valid)? Or do all track sides of the tile you are placing have to either meet up with no tile or a tile with a track on it facing my track? Also, can I redirect the last tile of a track I own, or is it only unowned track I can do this with, the rules confused me a little on this.

You can build the dead end track. Put your disk on it, because it's yours until your next track building turn.

When you extend your own line with a new tile, you only have to match your own line, anyone else with track that was potentially moving into that hex too will have to pay to change that tile without disrupting the line that you've already placed...Hope that makes sense.

Also, yes you can change your tile, but you'll have to pay the cost of the new line again (you don't have to pay any terrain costs again though), AND, it'll count as one of your usual 3-tile building limit.

You cannot expand other people's tracks, so if the track you are "dead ending" is someone else's you HAVE to block them. You cannot place a tile that will extend their track (including the small short track into a town).
