Three questions regarding the Version 2.0 rules and record sheets
1) Does being inside a mine or temple offer any protection from chaos mage spells like inferno or fireball? If I understand movement, I can move a prince to a mine or temple quadrant in one turn, move him inside the building the following turn, and get the bonus the third turn (since the resource step is before the formation one). It seems like it would be very easy for a chaos mage to lob a few spells during this time at that spot.
2) On the revised record sheets there is a column on the far right labeled ES. Each row has circles with the numbers 4, 4, 9, and 12 inside. What is this used for?
3) The rules state: "Your unit may only Evade one incoming missile attack per combat round." If I have two companies each making a uncoordinated missile attack against one opponent (who had 2 MPs left over), can he then evade each missile attack. I believe each attack would be considered a separate combat round since they were uncoordinated and thus he could evade each time. Is this correct?
Thanks

Hi Mark,
I'll try to answer your questions...
1) Rule 11.1.4 states buildings can only be shock attacked (Chaos Mage elemental spells are not considered shock attacks). Units inside of buildings cannot be directly attacked. Rule 8.1.5 discusses how units which can change into Indoors formations can move indoors. So, in your scenario, your Prince would only be vulnerable to a Chaos Mage spell on the turn he moved into the same quadrant as a building. On the next turn he would change to Indoors Formation and be safe since Chaos Mage spells always resolve at the end of each turn. And you are correct that the Resource bonus will not apply until the turn AFTER he changes to Indoors Formation.
2) ES stands for Elemental Spell. Rule 12.2.3.1 Persistent Unit Spells describes these circles and how to use them.
3) Once all units have expended their movement actions, a combat round begins. In the scenario you present, a defender would only be able to evade one missile attack from two separate units firing independently at the same target during the same combat round. However, if the defender evaded a missile attack from Enemy A during the first combat round, and then another Movement Round is executed after which a new Combat Round begins, the defender would be able to evade Enemy B's missile attack during the second combat round (provided the defender has the required MP's to do so). The definition of a Combat Round is found at 11.0 COMBAT ROUND.
Hope this helps clear things up a little!

That was helpful.
After rereading your answer, I went back and reread section 9. I realized I had forgotten a key rule. I had been doing all the movement and then the combat vs do a movement and combat round and then repeat if anybody had a MP left. Thanks for the other clarifications.
I figured ES had something to do with spells. I was mostly casting instant spells so I the discussion about ES under persistent spells.
Other than that, finding the rest of the 2.0 rules pretty straightforward.
