Pretty much just what the subject says. What do you need from the base game to play this? I was thinking since all card decks seem to be swappable with this expansion, you might be able to use stuff from the second edition to play on the Storm of Swords map. Any thoughts?

Yes you could use 2nd edition base game to play on storm of swords.

Thanks. I wasn't sure because I haven't played SoS. But after hearing all the talk of 4-player second edition being unbalanced, I thought I would look into it.

Does the overlay from A storm of sword work with second edition board (a part from having different color pattern) Does this would make it 4 players setup from A storm of Swords playable?

2nd expansion map is not an overlay, 1st expansion is.
So with A Storm of Swords you have a separate map anyways.
